Lebanon's roots go far beyond those of a country whose borders were defined as a result of the divisions ofthe Ottoman Empire after WW II. Being home to great civilizations for thousands of years, Lebanon’s name, landscapes and inhabitants are mentioned several times in the Bible, which emphasizes its character as a sacred land, a holy ground, and an undisputed haven for the new traveler.

Day 1

Depart to the Bekaa Valley to visit the Umayyad city of Anjar, then wine tasting at Chateau Ksara and visitthe caves (which history goes back to the Romans). Short visit and lunch in Zahle before heading to Baalbeck. Afternoon visit of the Temples of Baalbeck, one of the highlights of our trip. Coming back to the hotel and dinner at the local area.

Day 2

Today we take a mountain road to the Cedars (the emblem of Lebanon), and the village of Bcharreh, hometown of Gibran Khalil Gibran the author of the “Prophet”. After crossing the Cedars mountain pass we descend into the Qadisha Valley for a walking discovery of the history of the Maronites and the monasteries carved into rock. Evening arrival to Jbail (Byblos) and spend a free evening , where we have time to visit or just relax.

Day 3

Check out from the hotel. Depart to Jounieh to visit Our Lady of Lebanon (Harissa) by teleferique and after heading to Jeita Grottos & find out all about this natural beauty , before heading back to the capital Beirut. City tour and dinner in town on our final meal together. Transfer to the Beirut International Airport to take the return flight.
